Norma Maxine Woofter, of Portland, TN., passed from this life on July 5, 2023, at Westmoreland Rehab Center, Westmoreland, TN. Norma was born on August 11, 1926 in Claypool, IN. She was 96 at the time of passing. She was a member of Portland General Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, John Robert Woofter; her mother, Opal Loughin Regenos; her father, Leotol Regenos; two brothers; one sister; and her daughter, Debbie Groves.
Norma is survived by her son, Bill Woofter of Portland; son-in-law, Charlie Groves of Olive Branch, MS; grandchildren, John(Jennifer) Groves, Josh(Lanie) Groves and Jennifer Groves all of Olive Branch, MS.
Funeral services will be on July 9, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Wilkinson Wiseman Funeral Home with visitation on Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 4-6 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time of 2 p.m.
Burial Will be at Restlawn Memory Gardens in Franklin, KY. following the funeral.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby McMurtry, Willie McMurtry, Tony McConnell, Roger Thurber, Gene Taylor, Mike Scott and her grandson’s.
