Michael Ray Goodcourage, age 68 of White House went home to be with the Lord Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Skyline Medical Center.
He was born December 28, 1954 in Winchester, TN to Hubert “Mickey” Grant & Elizabeth McNatt Goodcourage.
He worked as a mechanical engineer for Wright Industries until his retirement. Mr. Goodcourage was a member of Cross Plains Church of Christ, where he served as an elder. He enjoyed fishing, Revolutionary War History, Benjamin Franklin and all things pertaining to Philadelphia.
He was known to all who knew him as a man who loved God. Serving his church and his Lord were of the utmost importance to him.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Beth Goodcourage; son, Seth (Rebekah Gourley) Goodcourage, both of White House, TN; sister, Judy (Mike) Bushey, Huntsville, AL; grandson, Parker Bolt.
Funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 11 am in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Bro. Sellers Crain and Bro. Royce Harbin officiating. Interment will follow in White House Memorial Gardens with Max Chaffin, Charles Allen, Jeff Davis, Frank Spain, Elige McLevain and Cody Hoover serving as pallbearers.
Visitation with the family is planned for Wednesday, April 19, 2023 4-8 pm and Thursday, April 20, 2023 9-11 am at the funeral home In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to either The Ronald McDonald House or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
