Melissa Jane Odom, age 58, of Greenbrier, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023 at NorthCrest Medical Center.
Mrs. Odom was born July 5, 1965 in Springfield to James Porter and Frances Fort Ford.
She was a Claims Processor for many years, and was a member of Green Ridge Church of Christ. Melissa loved God, her family, and her country. She was a U.T. sports fanatic, and loved the Titans and rock-n-roll music, such as AC/DC, Guns N Roses and others.
Mrs. Odom was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey Lee Odom; father, James Porter Ford; brothers, Randy Ford, and Eric Ford; and mother-in-law, Mary M. Holmes.
She is survived by her daughter, Nikki (Hunter) Odom-Taylor; mother, Frances Ford; “special daughter”, Brittany Manlove; very special sister-in-law, Mickie Preston; “special grandchildren”, Piper Burnett, Kameron Ellis, and Penelope Williams; and her loving pet dog, Bullit.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 am Wednesday, November 22nd in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Bro. Jon Briggs officiating. Pallbearers will be Hunter Taylor, James Bennett, Billy Flatt, Cody Flatt, Chance Holmes and Dustin Taylor. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Moody Preston.
