Marilyn Ruth Traughber Curtis, 72, of Springfield, passed from this life on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at The Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville.

Mrs. Curtis was born December 19, 1949, in Springfield, to the late Francis and Evelyn Heatherly Traughber.

She was a retired school bus driver with the Robertson County Board of Education and was of the Catholic faith. Mrs. Curtis enjoyed working in her flower garden, going to thrift shops, painting, and spending time with her family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Walter Miles Curtis, by her siblings; Shirley Elmore, Ray Traughber, David Traughber, and Tim Traughber, and by her brother-in-law: Wayne Curtis.

Mrs. Curtis is survived by her children; Cindy Rye (Tony Drape) of White House, Rhonda (Scott) Burnette of Cedar Hill, Steven Curtis of Orlinda, and Nick (Amy) Traughber of Portland, by her grandchildren; Kyle Pitt, Travis (Savanna) Pitt, Kara (Jordan) Vaughn, Celina Burnette, Maci (Austin) Watson, Ashlyn (Brandon) Henson, Austin Curtis, Bella Traughber, and Sofia Traughber, by her great-grandchildren; Brooklyn Henson, Laura Pitt, Parker Vaughn, Mabry Vaughn, and Deacon Pitt, by her siblings; Don Traughber of Cedar Hill, Connie (Joe) Robertson of Springfield, Sharon (Ray) Ford of White House, Susan (Ernie) Miller of White House, and Donna Ewing of Bellefontaine, OH, by her brothers and sister-in-law: James (Wanda) Curtis of Russellville, KY, Glenn Curtis of Springfield, and by a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 19th at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor John Jared officiating. Interment will follow in the Williams Chapel Cemetery with Scott Burnette, Tony Drape, Kyle Pitt, Travis Pitt, Nick Traughber, and Austin Curtis serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. https://www.robertsoncountyfuneralhome.com
