Maria Cortez, 74, of White House, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021.
Maria Cortez was born on August 4, 1947, in Tejutla, Chalatenango, in El Salvador, to Julio Hernandez and Antonia Hernandez.
Maria was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who dedicated her life to her family.
Maria is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Mario Cortez; children, Melviin Perez, Alfredo Perez, William Cortez, Edwin Cortez, Jacquelline Cortez; grandchildren, Grisel Perez, Cindy Perez, Kristen Cortez, Priscilla Cortez, Edwin Cortez, Jr., Genesis Perez, Jeovani Perez, William Cortez, Jr., Ryan Cortez, David Perez, and Stephen Cortez.
In addition to her parents, Maria was preceded in death by her daughter, Cecilia Perez.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 24, at Impact Fellowship Church, 650 Nashville Pike, in Gallatin, with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, 3141 Hwy 31 W, White House. Visitation will be Friday from noon until the time of service at Impact Fellowship.
