Lonnie Jewel Batey, 80, of Greenbrier, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at The Waters of Springfield.
Lonnie was born May 11, 1944, in Dickson.
He was a graduate of Springfield High School Class of 1962, and was a retired truck driver. Lonnie enjoyed fishing and working in his yard.
He was preceded in death by his father: Clayton Batey, by his mother: Christine Pardue Shelton, and by his daughter: Kimberly Edins.
Lonnie is survived by his son: Allen Batey of Greenbrier, by his grandchildren: Noah Batey and Bryce Batey, by his brothers: Ricky Batey of Atlanta, GA, and Ray Batey of Florida, and by his sisters: Patsy Brown of Knoxville and Lovey Hollis.
His remains will be cremated, and no services are scheduled at this time.
