Lillian Ruth “Ms. Lil” (Weaver) White, age 93 of Greenbrier, passed from this life on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Morningside of Springfield.
Ms. Lil was born August 23, 1929 in Greenbrier to the late Gillie and Sallie Grubbs Weaver, Sr.
She was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ where she enjoyed working, especially in the kitchen and also the kitchen at youth camp every year. She worked at Bill Martin’s CeeBee as a clerk for 48 years going through several different owners. She loved University of Tennessee sports and all sports in general but what she loved the most was her Lord and her family, especially the children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Gillie, Jr. Carney, Thomas, Frank “Pete”, Bobby, and Billy Weaver; her sisters, Frances Birdwell, Evie Lou Eanes, and Dorothy Thibodeau; grandchildren, Shawn and Roy, Jr. White; daughter-in-law, Teresa White; and grandson-in-law, Mike Ritter.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Carney and Debbie White of Goodlettsville, Jason and Susan White of Greenbrier, Roy White of Clearwater, FL, and Jeff and Lisa White of Greenbrier; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Bill Compton of Zachary, LA; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 16, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Hillcrest Church of Christ in Springfield with Bro. Johnny Trail officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Cemetery with Carney White, Jr., Cory White, Derek White, Brent White, Luke White, Matthew White, Brayden White, Todd Averitt, and Hunter White serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 3 until 7 PM and Friday from 10 AM until the hour of service.
