Kary Leslie Kelly, age 82 of Cross Plains passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 at his home.
He was born April 30, 1939 in White House, TN to Brady & Bessie Mae Lamberth Kelly.
He worked for McCann Steel, retired from Peterbilt after 30 years of service, and also worked for Rehorn and Kelly Monuments. He enjoyed working on and restoring old vehicles, mowing in the yard, traveling to Astoria, OR, and to Jamestown, TN, helping people and enjoying life. Mr. Kelly was of the Pentecostal Faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister; 2 brothers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Connie Kelly, Cross Plains, TN; sons, Tommy (Nancy) Kelly and Scott (Bonnie) Kelly; daughters, Christy (Brad) Minnis, Shawn (Barry) Minnis, Missy (Jeff) Jenkins, Carrie (Jeff) Randolph and Amanda (Brad) Ray; sisters, Linda (James) Civils and Kay (Richard) Singleton; 15 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; his beloved dog, Katie.
Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 1 pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Bro. Toby Birdwell officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer Roy Benton Crane. Visitation is planned for Friday, January 14, 2022 from 5-9 pm and Saturday, January 15, 2022 from10am-1pm at the funeral home.
