Julia Leigh Rockey, 53, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at her home.
Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, August 5th at 1:00 p.m. in the Mt. Sharon Cemetery with Tim Harris officiating. Pallbearers will be Riley Byrd, Lewis Henderson, Jonathan Atkins, Brandon Cass, Jayce Nichols, and Colton Mayers. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.
Julia was born on January 27, 1968, in Springfield. She has worked in furniture sales and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her mother: Ola Sue Browning Bryant, by her grandparents: Bill and Mary Frances Browning, Marvin and Jane Rockey, and by her grandson: Samuel Michael Cass.
Julia is survived by her daughter: Destanie Rae Cass of Springfield, by her son: Benjamin Riley Byrd of Springfield, by her father: Gary Rockey of Illinois, by her step-father: Autry Bryant of Springfield, by her brother: Ray Bryant, by her aunt: Dinkey Lane, by her grandchildren: Adleigh Cass, Adrian Cass, and Jordan Byrd, and by several cousins.
