Johnny Lee Holland, age 78 of Orlinda, passed from this life on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at University of Louisville Health – Jewish Hospital.
Mr. Holland was born on February 1, 1944 in Nashville.
He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon and was involved with the RA’s. He grew up on a farm, served in the National Guard, and worked most of his life as a truck Driver. He retired from H.O.H. and before that drove for Reubinsville Farmers Feed Mill for many years. He was also the fire chief for the Orlinda Volunteer Fire Department at one time. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching Westerns and listening to country music.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edwena Spivey Holland, mother, Lillie Lou Holland; his uncle who reared him, Gomard Holland; and his sister, Sadie Holland.
He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Tonya Holland, Jr. of Springfield and Charley Holland of Orlinda; brother and sister-in-law, Jackie and Sue Holland; and grandchildren, Jesse Holland, Emma Grace Trent, and Clayton Holland.
Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. Coe Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11 AM until the time of service.
