John Wesley Tomlin, Jr., 80, of Springfield, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.

Born May 26, 1943, in Nashville, he was the son of the late John Wesley Tomlin and Avis Irene Riggins Tomlin.

John was retired from Misa Metal Processing in Portland. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather who will be missed dearly. Pops loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and boating. But the thing his family and friends will remember the most about him is his love for the Tennessee Titans. Mr. Tomlin was a longtime season ticket holder and will be laid to rest in a custom Tennessee Titans casket.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years Sharon Ann Tomlin; his brother Carl Tomlin; and two great-grandchildren Sarrayah Brady and Xavien Miranda.

He is survived by his children John W. Tomlin, III, Charlie Boyd, Melissa (David) Carlos, and Adrian (Irma) Landeaverde; brothers Richard (Kay) Tomlin and Robert Denton; nieces, Lisa Jennette, and Lorie Miles; grandchildren, Ashley Brady, Joe Brady, Christian Miranda, Arionna “Kika” Brady, Ricky Galan, Jordan Tomlin, Jayden Tomlin and Bret Dugan; great grandchildren Yazmin and Dante Arocho, Adalyn Brady, Malikai Miranda, and Amarii Brady; and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Springfield Funeral Home on Sunday, March 3, from 4 pm until 8 pm. A Celebration of Life Service officiated by Dr. Hubert Cunningham will take place 10 am Monday, March 4, at the funeral home.
