Jo Ann Eskew Hess, age 84, of Cedar Hill, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at her home.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 12 noon in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Reverend Steve Freeman and Chaplain Saul Eady, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with Donnie Keith, Coty Harris, Ronnie Stovall, Michael Baujan, Scott Hugger, and Mike Byrum serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 4-8 pm and again on Sunday from 10 am until the hour of service at 12 Noon.
Mrs. Hess was born August 19, 1937 in Springfield to the late Richard and Lula Richardson Eskew. She was a homemaker and loving mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hess is preceded in death by husband, LeRoy Hess; her brothers, Bobby Eskew and Douglas Eskew. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Donnie and Paula Keith and Ronnie and Linda Stovall; daughters, and sons-in-law, Glenda and Howard Decker and Amelia and Terry Hastings; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Ralph Hayes; close friend and caregiver, Drudie Hughes; grandchildren, Ashley (Coty) Harris, Michael (Tina) Baujan, Angela (Scott) Hugger; and great-grandchildren, Marley Jo Harris, Sarah Baujan, and Bradley Baujan.
Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of these arrangements.
