Jerry Ray Pate, age 79 of White House, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Hendersonville Medical Center.
He was born February 23, 1944 in Nashville, TN to Frank Thomas & Coby Dee Burch Pate.
He worked in the Auto Body Repair Industry and was employed 30+ years with Bradshaw Collision Center. He worked for them when the company first opened.
He enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling and working on “fixer-up” lawnmowers that he could resale for a profit.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sharon Pate; son, Douglas Ray Pate; grandson, Jackie Pate; great-grandson, Atticus Pate; 4 brothers, Eldon, Roger, RT and Tom.
He is survived by his sons, Chris (Jennifer) Pate, White House, TN and Steven (Jennifer) Pate, Gallatin, TN; brothers, Gayden (Marjorie) Pate, White Bluff, TN and Frankie (Susan) Pate, Pegram, TN; sister, Dorothy Bradshaw, Centerville, TN; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; his faithful dog, Cody.
Funeral service is scheduled for Monday, August 7, 2023 in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Greg Pate officiating. Interment will follow in White House Memorial Gardens with Brad Pate, Zach Pate, Dawson Pate, Josh Pate, Chris Pate and Steve Pate serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Karter Pate. Visitation with the family is planned for Sunday, August 6, 2023 2-8 PM and Monday, August 7, 9-11 AM at the funeral home.
