Janice Diane Greenwood, age 68, of Greenbrier, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023 at St. Thomas Midtown.
Mrs. Greenwood was born May 27, 1955, in Greenbrier, to the late Paul Thomas and Felicia Ledbetter Weaver.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Greenwood was preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Weaver.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Lee Greenwood; son, Jason Mathis; daughter Chanda Greenwood; brothers, Ronnie (Charlotte) Weaver and Randy Weaver; sisters, Faye Williams, Betty Allgood, Sandra Merkel and Joy Bollinger; 6 grandchildren, Austin Barden, Shelby Barden, Kaitlin Mathis, Logan Eagles, Devon Greenwood and Mackenzie Mathis; and 2 great-grandchildren, Roman Eagles and Austin Rinaldi.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Wednesday, October 4, in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Greenbrier with Brother Jeremy Sisk and Brother David Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Jason Mathis, Devon Greenwood, Austin Barden, Randy Weaver, Walker Weaver and Logan Eagles serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm Tuesday, and again from 11 am until time of the service at 1 pm Wednesday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital c/o Austin and Bell Funeral Home.
