James Michael Claiborne, age 69, of Greenbrier, Tennessee passed away on Friday, July 28th, 2023.
James Michael, known as Mike, was born in Knob Noster, Missouri on March 28th 1954. He graduated from Goodlettsville High School.
Mike retired after 35 years of employment at H.G Hills in Goodlettsvile, Tennessee. Mike was an avid knife collector and tradesman and could be found at many flea markets and knife shows across the area. In his free time, he enjoyed attending wrestling matches and visiting the mountains with his friends and family.
Mike is survived by sister Peggy (Eddie) Slagle of Lafayette, Tennessee; nephew Chad Whitehead of Greenbrier, Tennessee; nieces, Renee (Daniel) Greene of Cottontown, Tennessee; Ashley (Stuart) Mobley of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; and four great-nieces, Bridgette Greene, Annabeth Greene, Maura Mobley, and Laurel Mobley.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, James Claiborne and Dixie Claiborne.
A funeral service was held Sunday, July 30th at 3:00 p.m. at Wilkinson & Wiseman in Portland, Tennessee, and officiated by Renee Greene. Visitation was held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., with service to follow. https://www.wilkinsonwiseman.com
