James Jeffrey Nance, a beloved son, brother, and father, passed away on January 18, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 39.
Born on July 8, 1985, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, James brought warmth and kindness to all who knew him.
James dedicated many years of his career to working alongside his father at Advance Building Group. This time not only showcased his professional skills but also his dedication to family and the values instilled in him since childhood. His family remained a core part of his life, and he was especially proud to become a father to his son, Levi Nance. The joy of fatherhood was one of James’s proudest accomplishments, and he cherished every moment spent with Levi.
In his leisure, James found solace in the great outdoors. He loved spending time fishing and exploring the woods, creating fond memories that will be cherished by those who loved him. His loving, kind, and spirited personality left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.
James is survived by his son, Levi Nance; his parents, James Mitchell Nance (Kaye Mayo Nance); his brother, Travis Hawk; uncles, Jeffrey Allen and Gary (Diane) Mayo; aunt, Kathy (Mike) Henley; and Robbie Keaton, along with a host of cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Allen.
A visitation will be held on January 23, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, and then a burial from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, all at Springfield Memorial Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation Center, located at 4005 Memorial Blvd, Springfield, TN 37172. https://www.springfieldfh.com
