James Howard “Pete” Riddle, age 84, of Greenbrier, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Alive Hospice in Nashville.
Mr. Riddle was born March 6, 1939 in Nashville, TN to the late Eck and Martha Riddle.
He was a Meat Cutter for Kroger Grocery Stores and a founding member and Deacon of Hendersonville Pentecostal Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Riddle was preceded in death by brothers, Horace Riddle and Bob Riddle; and sisters, Marie McClanahan, Louise McClanahan, Evelyn Carney and Darlene Carney.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Eula Riddle; sons, Donnie Sanders, Kent (Loretta) Riddle, Steve (Terry) Riddle, and Bobby Riddle; 5 grandchildren, Chelsea, Brock, Ryan, Michael, and Cassie; and 1 great-grandson, Waylon James.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Friday, May 5th in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Greenbrier with Bishop Rodger Thaxton officiating. Burial will follow in the Beech Cemetery in Hendersonville.
The family will receive friends from 10 am until time of the service at 1 pm Friday at the funeral home.
