Imogene Parchman Rains, age 82, of Springfield, passed away Friday, December 17, 2021 at her home.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 20, 2021 at 2 pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Bro. Jerry Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with Harold Hulsey, Larry J. Parchman, Jack Parchman, Nick Parchman, Aaron Strong, Bryan Parchman, Roland Pope, and Bryant Pope serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 20, 2021 from 1-2 pm.
Mrs. Rains was born on April 24, 1939 in Madison, TN to the late John Troy and Vera Kirby Parchman.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rains was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Edward Rains; and 2 brothers.
Mrs. Rains is survived by her daughters, Darlene Boyd and Cricket Traughber; 4 grandchildren, Lucas Dempsey, Bethany Honeycutt, Megan Pope, and Lindsey Traughber; 6 great-grandchildren, Carson Dempsey, Roland Pope, Ella Honeycutt, Maddie Dempsey, Tyler Honeycutt, and Piper Pope; brothers, Tony Parchman, Larry Parchman and Michael Parchman; and sisters, Buton Payne and Sharon Qualls.
