Eugene “Gene” Wall, 91, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 18th at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Luton’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Gene was born August 3, 1930, in Crocker, MO to the late Guy and Betsy Wall.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served his country during the Korean Conflict. Gene was the recipient of a Purple Heart, the Korean Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars, the National Defense Service Medal, and the United Nations Service Medal. He was of the Baptist faith and was a retired partner in the former Highland Graphics in Springfield. Gene loved to restore antique cars, go to car shows, raise horses, and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife: Patty Wall, and by 5 brothers and 6 sisters.

Gene is survived by his wife: Mary Wall, by his children: Ronny (Alisa) Wall of Goodlettsville, Tammy Martinez of Springfield, and Marty (Shari) Wall of Goodlettsville, by his grandchildren: Skylar Wall, Savanna (Owen) Galassini, Summer Wall, Gabriel (Kysa) Martinez, Jesse Wall, and Marlee Wall, and by his great-grandchildren: Gabriel Martinez, Jr., and Kazrael Martinez.

Robertson County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
