Faye Vernon McQuiston, age 81, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Alive Hospice in Nashville.
Mrs. McQuiston was born June 19, 1942, in Madison, NC to the late Dewey Lee Vernon and Alice Irene Hooker Vernon.
She worked in the housekeeping department at Opryland Hotel most of her life.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. McQuiston was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie McQuiston Sr.; sons, Johnny McQuiston and Oscar Lee Briggs Jr.; and a sister, Judy Vernon.
She is survived by a daughter, Denise (Adrian) Bernhardt; sons, Joseph (Samantha) McQuiston, Walter McQuiston, Larry (Dawn) Armstrong, Michael (Marie) Armstrong, and Terry (Lindsay) McQuiston; 27 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 5 pm Monday in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Pastor Charles Johnson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 3 pm until the time of the service at 5 pm Monday at the funeral home.
