Everline Bass Huggins, age 76 of Springfield passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Skyline Medical Center.
She was born February 12, 1946 in Laurinburg, NC to Roosevelt & Annie Mae Bass.
She worked as a desk clerk for a tire shop but was disabled and spent most of her life as a homemaker and mother. She loved caring for her yard and kept all of the weeds pulled. She enjoyed painting, sewing and was an avid reader, especially Stephen King books. She also enjoyed watching Judge Judy on television.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Huggins; 4 sisters; 2 brothers; 1 great-grandson.
She is survived by her sons, Rodney (Tina) Huggins, Springfield, TN and Johnny Huggins, Phoenix, AZ; brother, Rochester Bass, Hamlet, NC; sister, Jeanette (Curtis) Locklear, Laurinburg, NC; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
There are no services or visitation planned at this time. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
