Emerson Lee Morris, Jr. age 90, of Springfield, Tennessee, died Saturday, at NHC Healthcare in Springfield.

Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, August 30, 2021, at 2:00 pm in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with Jody Ellis, Jason Ellis, Brandon Wilson, Robby McAlister, Jantzen Pendley, and Vernon Pendley serving as pallbearers. Elvis Wilson and Dennis Morris will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the hour of service at 2:00 PM

Mr. Morris was born on December 6, 1930, in Robertson County to the late Emerson Lee and Bessie Lee Morris, Sr. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War. Mr. Morris was a member of Barren Plains Baptist Church and worked as a shipping and receiving clerk for Delight Products. He loved to fish so much, that he built his own fishing boat from blueprints. He also enjoyed reading books especially westerns, and to paint oil paintings.

Surviving Mr. Morris are his daughters and sons-in-law, Anita and Elvis Wilson of Springfield, Rhea-Anne and Vernon Pendley of Springfield, TN, Lacey Morris (Matthew Thompson) of White House, Pamela Robinson of Hendersonville, and son, Joey Morris of Springfield, TN five grandchildren, Brandon Wilson, and his wife Michelle, Jantzen Pendley, Alexis Pendley, Connor Walls, Jackson Thompson, and one great-granddaughter, Joann Wilson.
