Edward Ray “Eddie” Cherry, age 67 of Springfield, passed from this life on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at his home.
Eddie was born September 24, 1956 in White House to the late Ramey and Ethel Robertson Cherry.
He worked in home improvement doing painting, carpentry, and other jobs. He was a member of the Corvette Society and was a musician playing the drums and guitar. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was an avid mechanic, always working and tinkering with something.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Raye West Cherry. Surviving him are his sons, Cody (Melissa) Kirby of Crossville and Corey (Alyssa) Cherry of Fayetteville, NC; daughters, Cassie (Landon “Luke”) Lucas of Greenbrier, Cindy Cherry of Crossville, and Kelsey (Jeremy Brown) Kirby of Crossville; sisters, Kathy Phillips of Adolphus, KY and Linda Henderson of White House; grandchildren, Caden, Joshua, Adeline, Damien, Carson, Evan, Ramey, Lilah, Zane, Jackson, and Owen “Frankie”; and his furry son, Shevi Raye.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Dale Swearingen officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 AM until the time of service.
The family request, if so desired, for memorial contributions to be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. All donations can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
