Edna Mae Mayton, age 87 of White House, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at her home.
She was born January 1, 1936 in Johnson City, TN to John Madison & Delzia Irene Green Duncan.
She was retired from AT&T, where she worked in the ICSC Department at the time of her retirement. She was a member of Berean Baptist Church. She enjoyed eating out with family and friends, playing BINGO and attending church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry Mayton; son, Terry Lane; brothers, Raymond and Eugene; sisters Betty Jo and Virginia.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Browne, White House, TN; son, Jim Mayton, Springfield, TN; 6 grandchildren, Angie, Wesley, Misty, Kayla, Heather and Stephanie; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
Funeral service is scheduled for 1 pm Monday, May 1, 2023 in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Pastor Joe Lang officiating. Interment will follow in White House Memorial Gardens with Wesley Lane, Nathaniel Scates, Bradley Wells, Bryan Keen, Rocky Brown and Coty Lowe serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family is planned for Sunday, April 30, 2023 4-8 PM and Monday, May 1, 2023 10 am until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
