Dwight William Roberts passed away on May 8, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity and kindness.
Born on December 27, 1941, Dwight led a remarkable life that touched the hearts of all who knew him.
Dwight served in the United States Army for years, including bravely serving in the Vietnam War. His dedication to his country was a testament to his courage and sense of duty.
Aside from his military service, Dwight was known for his passion for music. A talented guitar player and country music singer/songwriter, he found solace and joy in creating melodies that resonated with many. His love for music was only rivaled by his love for reading, which he indulged in whenever he had the chance.
One of Dwight’s proudest accomplishments was his family. His grandchildren affectionately called him “PePaw,” a title that brought him immense joy and fulfillment. He cherished every moment spent with them and took great pride in watching them grow and thrive.
Dwight is now reunited with his parents, Clyde and Pauline Roberts; twin brother, Duane Roberts; sisters, Ronna Gail Roberts, and Diane Murphy. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Mrs. Shirley Roberts; three sons: Jeff Roberts (Darcy), Eric Roberts (Jessica), Nicholas Roberts (Vanessa); daughter, Jennifer Lopez; grandchildren: Chase Roberts, Sabrina Lopez, Joshua Lopez; great-grandchildren: McKenzie, Madalynn, Jenelle, Sadie; one brother, Barry Roberts; sister: Cheryl Regaletto.
Dwight William Roberts will be remembered for his warm heart, unwavering love for his family, and the lasting impact he had on those around him. May he rest in peace knowing he was truly cherished in this life.
