Herbert “Duane” Parker, age 85 of Greenbrier passed away at his home Tuesday, January 25, 2022.
Funeral Services will be 12 pm on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier with Bro. Nathan Washburn officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with David Morgan, Dalton Morgan, Aiden Morgan, Billy Ford, Marshall Drake, Maxie Deaton, and Steve Ford serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends 9 am until time of service on Friday, January 28th at the funeral home.
Mr. Parker was born in Coopertown, TN on March 23, 1936 to the late David Herbert and Mabel Lorene Bracey Parker. He was also preceded in death by brother, Rudolph Parker, and sister, Connie Marie Parker.
He was a member of Greenbrier First Baptist Church and a Veteran of the US Army. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, church activities, and trips, and spending time with family especially the grand and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Katherine Ford Parker; daughter, Pam (David) Morgan; grandson, Dalton (Amanda) Morgan; grandchildren, Logan, Emma, Aiden, and Emery.
