Dorothy Marie “Dottie” Luke, age 76 of the Greenbrier community in Robertson County, TN passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm, Tuesday, November 23rd at Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier with Bro. Nelson Garrett officiating. Burial will follow in Mayes Cemetery with Robert Edwards, Chris Edwards, Dalton Edwards, Tommy Hulsey, Wade Taylor, and Stephen Howerton serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4 pm to 8 pm on Monday, November 22nd, and 11 are until time of service on Tuesday, November 23rd at the funeral home.
Dottie was born in Madison, TN on August 8, 1945 to the late James and Pauline Hunnicutt Edwards. She was also preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Tammy Luke Bush, and a brother, Phillip Ray Edwards.
She was a member of the Robertson County Church of Christ.
Dottie worked for Peterbilt Motors in Madison, TN for over 30 years building trucks as a production worker before retiring. She loved sewing, fishing, cooking, and baseball. She was one of few women to serve as a State Director in the Dixie Boys and Majors baseball programs.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ronnie Luke of Greenbrier; daughter, Tina Luke Posey, and husband, Jim of Tarpon Springs, FL; sister, Deanie, and husband Tommy Hulsey of Greenbrier; brothers, Gene, and wife Nancy Edwards, Dennis, and wife Diane Edwards of Millersville; grandchildren, Gary Bush, Nina Stokes, Monica Stokes, Megan Bush; great-grandchildren, Tristan Stokes, Tamia Anderson, Ariya Drew, and Amelia Villalta.
