Dorothy Mae Carter Martin, age 73, of Springfield, TN passed away Friday, May 27, 2022 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
Mrs. Martin was born November 6, 1948 in Springfield, TN to the late Thomas Lee and Nannie Mae Hutchison Carter.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Leslie Martin Sr.; and a son, Joe Leslie Martin Jr.
Ms. Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Mary (Tony) Cook; 2 grandchildren, Brandy Nicole (Michael) Cotner and Kimberly (Josh) Pentecost; and 3 great-grandchildren, Harley Knight, Jameson Hunt, and Ty Cotner.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Wednesday, June 1, 2022 in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Bro. Randy Riggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Bellwood Cemetery in Adams with Jameson Hunt, Ty Cotner, Gavyn Nolan, Josh Pentecost, and Michael Cotner serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 10 am until time of service at 2 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
