Donna Ruth Rawls Head, 70, of Springfield, passed from this life on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at the home of her sister.

Donna was born February 13, 1952, in Springfield to the late John Howard and Martha Jane “Sis” Frey Rawls.

She was a graduate of Springfield High School Class of 1970 and went on to obtain her bachelor’s degree from Austin Peay State University. Donna was a retired teacher of 33 years with the Robertson County Board of Education and was a member of Coopertown Church of Christ.

She enjoyed all University of Kentucky sports, loved spending time with her family and friends, but especially with her grandchildren and going to their sporting events, and was the queen of shopping at Goodwill.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandchild: Malia Head.

Donna is survived by her husband: Jerry M. Head of Springfield, by her stepsons: Jason (Katie) Head of Cedar Hill, Shane (Miranda) Head of Greenbrier, Joshua (Susan) Head of Adams, and Jacob (Tara) Head of Cedar Hill, by her sisters: Marion Jane Rawls Richardson of Springfield, and Patty Rawls (Chuck) Reid of Springfield, by her brother: John Moulton Rawls of Springfield.

She is also survived by her grandchildren: Anna Kate, Jackson, Kyndal, Mary Brook, Samuel, Henley, Lincoln, and Everlee, by her nephews: Leslie (Teresa) Richardson, Corey (Maurisa) Richardson, Zachery (Angela) Reid, Chris (Amy) Reid, and Patrick (Abby) Reid, and by her great nieces and nephews: Keylea (Austin) Brewer, Leslie Richardson, Sarah Richardson, Nick Richardson, Mason Reid, Madison Reid, Dallas Reid, Kingston Reid, Kalloway Reid, Mabry Reid, and Maverick Reid.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 5th at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor Kenny Hix officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
