Donna Rhea Scott, age 62 of Springfield and formerly of Hendersonville, passed away May 5, 2024.
Donna was born on November 11, 1961 in Madison, Tennessee to the late Donny Y. Scott and the late Gloria Faye Woosley Scott.
She is survived by her husband, Chuck Latimer; son, Jamie Sanders; granddaughter, Ava Sanders; sister, Darlene Berry; brother, Don Scott (Shari); and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Faye Latimer.
Donna was a longtime hairdresser in the Nashville area and enjoyed working with her clients. Born and raised in Hendersonville, Donna played softball in the Hendersonville Parks League, attended Hawkins Jr. High where she was a cheerleader, and graduated from Hendersonville High School in 1979. She was a proud wife and mother who loved her family.
A Celebration of Donna’s Life will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 12:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside in Hendersonville. Visitation with Donna’s family will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. and Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research.
