Dalphner J. Harms, age 89 of White House went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at White House Health Care & Rehab.
She was born October 5, 1934 in Cypress Inn, TN to Jesse and Emma Holt Wright.
She worked as a supervisor for the Department of Corrections before her retirement. She enjoyed flower gardening, sewing, crafting, traveling and volunteering at Dayspring Academy. She was a member of almost 50 years of The Church of the Firstborn in White House.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, David Griffin; grandson, Christopher Gates; 3 brothers, Howard, Clinton and James; 4 sisters, Ellen, Linnie, Dora and Vivian.
She is survived by her daughters, Marion (Glenn) Thornton, Rogersville, AL, Connie (Larry) Hardin, Greenbrier, TN, Gail (Michael) Williams, Goodlettsville, TN and Janet (Dan) Mink, White House, TN; sister. Jesse Dunlop, Michigan; 3 grandchildren, Tonya, Nikki and Caleb; 2 great-grandchildren, Katie and Elizabeth; 5 great-great-grandchildren, River, Pia, Malachi, Judah and Vivienne.
Funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 11 am in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home In White House with Pastor Roger Brewer officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery with Chad Hardin, Mark Henderson, Jeremy Suttle, Calvin Harrison, Jon Mayhew & Keith Suttle serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Hardin, Michael Williams, Danny Mink & Glenn Thornton. Visitation is planned for Monday, January 1, 2024 5 pm-8 pm and Tuesday, January 2, 2024 10 am until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
