Clifford Elwood ‘Woody’ Harrell, age 66 of White House went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the Residence of Alive Hospice.
He was born July 29, 1955 in Tallahassee, FL to Clifford Minchew Harrell & Hadassah Stoutamire Harrell.
Woody enjoyed running and was a sports enthusiast, especially favoring the Atlanta Braves and the Florida State Seminoles. He enjoyed watching Andy Griffith on television. He loved spending time with his friends and at his church, White House First United Methodist Church. He was known for calling friends on their birthdays, a church ministry that everyone enjoyed.
He is preceded in death by his father, Clifford Minchew Harrell; mother, Hadassah Stoutamire Bass Harrell; brother, Kirby Kenneth Bass.
He is survived by his brothers, Harold Eugene (Gail) Bass, Tallahassee, FL, and Maxwell Minchew (Phillis) Harrell, St. Simons Island, GA; sisters, Betty Koval, White House, TN, and Joan Cox, Tallahassee, FL; many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 2 pm in the sanctuary of White House First United Methodist Church with Dr. Loyd Doyle officiating. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested to Alive Hospice 1718 Patterson Street Nashville, TN 37203 or to the general fund of White House First United Methodist Church.
