Clarice “Virginia” Locke, age 90, of Greenbrier, passed away Monday, October 9, 2023 at the home of her daughter.
Mrs. Locke was born in Jacksonville, AL on September 14, 1933 and she was a member of Goodlettsville Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter-in-law, Kristy Locke.
Mrs. Locke is survived by her husband of 72 years, John Locke; son, Johnny Locke; daughters, Elaine (Larry) Lowe, Becky (Keith) Barnett, and Joy (Jerry) Anderson; 10 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am Thursday, October 12, 2023 in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Greenbrier with Bro. Keith Barnett, Bro. Barry Lamoureux, and Bro. Jeremy Weekley officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Goodlettsville with Lance Locke, Chad Galloway, Clint Galloway, Bart Anderson, Jeff Frazier, and Michael West serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Hope Ann Lamoureux, Leann Frazier, Sally Ann Weekley, Sarah Ann West, and Betsy Ann Barnett.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Wednesday, and again from 10 am until time of the service at 11 am Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to encourage you to make a memorial donation to your local church or your favorite charity in Mrs. Locke’s memory.
