Christine Wooten Littleton, age 99 of Greenbrier, passed from this life on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at her home.
Mrs. Littleton was born March 2, 1925 in Greenbrier to the late Joe and Nannie Lou Chapman Wooten.
She attended Joelton First Baptist Church and was retired from the State of Tennessee after many years. She graduated from Coopertown High School in 1943 and then went to Detroit, MI to work on the B25 Bombers where she was a part of a group known as Rosie the Riveters. She worked for Capitol Chevrolet and also for the state at Tennessee Youth Center in Joelton and was a proof reader for the State Legislation.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Littleton; a brother, John Wooten; and sisters, Joann George, Mary Taylor, and Joyce Richardson.
Surviving Mrs. Christine are her son, Joseph Rice (Dodie Greer) of Greenbrier; step-son, David Allen Littleton and his family of Clarksville; brother, Bob Wooten of Greenbrier; sister, Betty (Jim) Reiter of Bethpage; granddaughter, Melissa Rice (Nicholas) Key of Smyrna; beloved great-grandchildren, Kierra, Kalli, and Rosalie Parham and Lockelan Key; beloved niece, Kristie Wooten; and several other nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were conducted Sunday, October 13, 2024 at 3:00 PM in Elmwood Cemetery with Bro. David Royalty officiating. Music will be provided by Bro. David Brandon. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Key, Calvin Sinor, Brian Burns, Joe Wooten, Dustin King, Chris Gay, Chad Wooten, and Josh Fuqua. Honorary pallbearers will be Arthur Taylor, Jim Reiter, Al Johnston, and Phil Johnston. The family received friends at Robertson County Funeral Home on Sunday from 11:30 AM until 2:30 PM.
The family request, if so desired, for memorial contributions to be made to either, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, American Cancer Society, or Alzheimer’s Association. All donations can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
