Carrie Helen Swift Eidson, age 78 of Greenbrier went home to be with the Lord Friday, February 4, 2022 at Saint Thomas Midtown.
She was born March 22, 1943 in Greenbrier, TN to James William and Alma Gladys Hester Swift.
She worked as a homemaker and mother and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She loved the Lord, her church, and her family with all of her heart. She enjoyed quilting and was a wonderful cook.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Patsy Ann Wilson; brother, James Allen Swift; brother-in-law, Jim Baskette; sister-in-law, Romilda Swift.
She is survived by her loving husband of almost 60 years, Joe Eidson, Greenbrier, TN; daughters, Cindy (David) Loftin, Fuquay-Varina, NC, Malinda (Jim) Griffin, Goodlettsville, TN and Heather (Scott) Rice, Greenbrier, TN; brother, Bobby (Faye) Swift, White House, TN; sisters, Lois (Walton) Walker, Goodlettsville, TN, Brenda Baskette, Ridgetop, TN and Arlene (Randall) Mayes, Greenbrier, TN; 8 grandchildren, Mary Grace (Josh) Moore, Anna Beth (Robbie) Caldwell, Olivia (Tyler) Ellington, Britany (Matt) Kriesky, Trent Griffin, Victoria Griffin, Hayden Rice, and Addison Rice; 7 great-grandchildren, Levi, Ada, James, Eloise, RJ, Lynnlee and Griffin.
Funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 4 pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Pastor Brandon Pugh officiating. Interment will follow on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 11 am in Springfield Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family is planned for Thursday, February 10, 2022 2 pm-4 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Daily Bread Ministry of Bethel Baptist Church.
