Beverly Jean Adkins, age 86 of Burkesville, KY went home to be with the Lord Friday, June 6, 2025 at Cumberland Valley Manor. She was born August 20, 1938 in Des Moines, Iowa to Lyle and Cora Houg Smith.
She worked as a registered nurse for many years at the Nashville VA Hospital. She loved music, played piano and took voice lessons. She was always active in any church that she attended and willing to use her talents. She was a member of The Church at Grace Park.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry Adkins; brother-in-law, Alan Rodda.
She is survived by her daughter, Lea (Dan) Brown, Burkesville, KY; sister, Barb Rodda, Arlington, TX; grandchildren, Shelby (Jarad) Spinks, Bowling Green, KY and Taylor (Tim) Dunn, Lexington, KY; 4 great-grandchildren, Piper, Jack, Roen and Hatch.
A private family graveside service and interment is scheduled for Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 11am in Hillcrest Cemetery with Pastor Greg Young officiating.
Memorial contributions would be greatly appreciated to The Church at Grace Park in Beverly’s memory. Flowers will not be accepted.
