Betty Jo Stark, age 83 of Springfield, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at NHC in Springfield.
She was born December 31, 1939 in Nashville, TN to Woodrow & Mamie Elora Jenkins Romines.
She worked as a cook for Vanco Manor before her retirement. She loved cooking and listening to country music. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Freeman Stark; sisters, Margaret Wiggins and Brenda Hood; brother Junior Romines; grandson, Thomas Maynard.
She is survived by her sons, Shannon (Jodie) Stark, Portland, TN and Joe (Robin) Stark, Springfield, TN; daughter, Rita Roberts (Michael O’Saile), Springfield, TN; brother, Donnie (Sheena) Romines, Mount Juliet, TN; sister, Patsy Watson, Gallatin, TN; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
Funeral service is scheduled for Monday, December 4, 2023 at 1 pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Bro. Tim Sharpe officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation is planned for Monday, December 4, 2023 9 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
