Barbara Joanne Bagwell, age 81, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023 at NorthCrest Medical Center.
Mrs. Bagwell was born October 13, 1941 in Highland Park, MI to the late Ralph Oliver and Minnie Marion Wilkerson Norum.
She was a Staffing Coordinator for an employment agency and a member of Grace Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bagwell was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee Bagwell; and a stepson, Kenneth Bagwell.
She is survived by her stepchildren, Timothy Brian (Rhonda) Bagwell, Tammy L. Hughes and Lisa (Alvin) Smith; 9 step-grandchildren, Jordan Hughes, Justin Hughes, Logan Hughes, Sarah Smith, Douglas Smith, Andrea Wilson, Taylor Bagwell, Cole Bagwell and Bryan Bagwell; 8 step-great-grandchildren, Scout Hughes, Holton Hughes, Ember Hughes, Dani Bagwell, Weston Bagwell, Deklyn Bagwell, Finn Wilson and Lila Wilson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Sunday, March 5th, in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Bro. Steve Freeman officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 12 noon Monday, March 6th, in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Tim Bagwell, Jordan Hughes, Justin Hughes, Logan Hughes and Greg Berrang serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 11 am until time of the service at 2 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
