Anna Ruth Locke, age 82 of White House passed away Thursday, March 22, 2024 at White House Health Care & Rehab.
She was born March 31, 1941 in Cookeville, TN to Frank Haggard & Eula Mai Stout Harris.
She was retired after 27 years of service, from the Methodist Publishing House. She enjoyed traveling, working word puzzles and watching sports, especially baseball and the Atlanta Braves. She also loved the Predators and the Titans.
She is preceded in death by her parents; 6 brothers, Luther, GS, Edward, Wendell, Cecil; and an infant brother; 4 sisters, Dorenda, Ruby, Winnie and EvaDale.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, George Locke, White House, TN; daughter, Anna (Ken) Dabette, Ashland City, TN; sister, Linda (Ike) Smith, Cookeville, TN; 3 grandchildren, Robert, Lee (Rhealee) and Jack; 3 great-grandchildren, Wilhelm, Talbot and Locke.
Funeral service is scheduled for Monday, March 25, 2024 at 3 pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House. Visitation is planned for Monday, March 25, 2024 12 noon until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
