Alice Mai Horton, age 76 of White House, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at her home.
She was born April 3, 1944 in Nashville, TN to Bobby and Luradene Lemons Parsley.
She worked as a housekeeper for Hampton Inn before her retirement. She enjoyed dancing, eating chicken tenders and catfish, collecting antique dolls, as well as robes and nightgowns. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren most of all. She was an avid cleaner and enjoyed keeping things neat and tidy.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Willow Dean Kennedy; brother, Bobby Parsley.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Shoemaker, Goodlettsville and Billy Shoemaker, Cottontown, TN; daughters, Carol Jones, Old Hickory, TN, Joann Hulka, and Kathy Greer, both of White House, TN and Lisa (Brian Cole) Greer, Cottontown, TN; sisters, Mildred (Bill) Nelson, Indiana, Mattie Jane (Don) Hudson, Ashland City, TN and Elizabeth (Ray) Krebs, Jacksonville, FL; 14 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.; her little chihuahua, Bo.
Funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 1 pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Bro. Gene Hannah officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation is planned for Wednesday, November 15, 2023 4-8 PM and Thursday, November 16, 2023 9 AM-1 PM at the funeral home.
