Levy's Clothier, Nashville’s oldest family-owned clothing store, will begin its store-closing sale on Tuesday, November 3, ahead of its permanent closure in late December. More Business News
The longtime Nashville business, which first opened in 1855, is closing after 171 years. The sale will take place at its Green Hills location at 3900 Hillsboro Pike, Suite 36.
“For 171 years, Nashville has trusted us to dress them for the moments that matter most,” said David Levy, president and fifth-generation owner in a release.“This sale is our way of saying thank you. We want to see as many familiar faces as we can before we close, and we hope customers will find something special to remember us by.”
The closing sale will include the store’s entire inventory of luxury men’s and women’s clothing, including suits, sport coats, dress shirts, ties, outerwear, sportswear and accessories. Brands include Brioni, Etro, Eton, Canali, Castangia, Bugatchi, Kinross, AG, Gran Sasso and Jack Victor.
Discounts will increase throughout the sale, with special holiday promotions planned. Store fixtures and furnishings will also be available for purchase. All sales are final.
The store’s in-house tailor shop will remain open for a limited time. Alterations on sale purchases will be available through December 5, and all garments must be picked up by December 15.
Levy’s began on Market Street in downtown Nashville in 1855 and has remained a family-owned business for five generations. As the store prepares to close, customers are invited to share memories of shopping at Levy’s, either in person or by emailing customerservice@levysclothes.com.
“Every person who walks through our doors over these last few weeks is part of our story,” Levy said. “Ellen and I, along with our family and our wonderful staff, are grateful for every one of them.”
During the closing sale, Levy’s will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Private appointments are also available.
