A man is in critical condition after a shooting in Springfield on March 21, according to Smokey Barn News.
Officials found the man inside a home on Blair St between 21st Ave East and Cherry St suffering from multiple gun shot wounds just after 9 p.m. on Tuesday.
The man was shot 4 to 5 times while he was driving, Smokey Barn News reports. The shooting caused him to crash into a nearby yard.
The victim was taken to Skyline Medical’s Trauma Center in Nashville in critical condition.
This is the second shooting in Springfield within the last week. On March 19, 2023, Springfield Police officers responded to a shooting where a man was struck in the leg near 10th Avenue East and Memorial Boulevard.
The investigation for both of the incidents remains ongoing.
