The CoreCivic Foundation’s 35th annual Charity Golf Classic took place Oct. 1, marking another milestone for the fundraiser, which has raised more than $14 million since it began in 1991.

“We’re honored to support a record number of community organizations that help justice-involved individuals, victims of crime and abuse, and at-risk youth,” said Tony Grande, chairman of the CoreCivic Foundation. “The success of this year’s tournament was made possible by our generous partners.”

Among the organizations receiving funding is the Nashville Anti-Human Trafficking Coalition, which works with women and children affected by human trafficking and addiction.

“The support of CoreCivic and this event means so much to our organization and the people we serve. It shows that people care about their struggles, invest in them, and walk alongside them not only to survive, but to thrive,” said Christina Meadows, the coalition’s director of operations.

Other recipients include Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee, Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, GraceWorks Ministries, Williamson County CASA, Sumner County CASA Inc

The 76 organizations represent a range of services and causes, including education, recovery, domestic violence prevention, youth programs and support for crime victims.
