Could There Be a Tropical Storm Peter?

583

Currently, a tropical disturbance is occurring in the Atlantic. This has a strong enough potential to advance to a Tropical Depression or a Tropical Storm depending on the analytics and the development of the system. If this disturbance develops, it will become tropical depression/storm Peter.

Over the next 48 hours, the National Hurricane Center states there’s a 90% chance of a tropical formation. This storm is currently moving Northwest at 15 mph towards the Leeward islands.

The storm needs to become more defined and have a great rotation in order for the disturbance to become a Tropical Depression.

The progression of the storm could happen tonight or heading into tomorrow morning. For more information and updates on the disturbances in the Atlantic, visit The National Hurricane website here.
