The Springfield Parks & Recreation Department is proud to offer basketball to youth ages 4 to 13 (as of January 1, 2023) this winter.
Participants, led by volunteer coaches, will work to improve their skills in shooting, dribbling, and passing while learning to work as a team.
Teams will begin practice in December. Regular season play will take place on weeknights as well as some weekends from January to March. All games and practices will be held at The Center, 401 N. Main Street. The season will run for approximately eight weeks.
Registration is available in person at The Center, 401 North Main Street October 3-24, 2022. The fee is $75 per participant for Springfield residents and $85 per participant for non-residents. Visit www.springfieldtn.gov/sportsleagues to download a registration form.
Interested in refereeing? Referees must be at least 18 years old, have experience refereeing basketball, and will be required to pass a background check before the season. Interested applicants can contact Springfield Parks & Recreation by email or phone at (615) 382-1655.
