January 16, 2024 – The Springfield Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting scheduled for January 16 has been postponed to Tuesday, January 23.
Residents whose garbage would have been collected on Monday, January 15 will have their carts collected on Wednesday, January 17.
No garbage collection on Tuesday, January 16.
There will also be no garbage collection tomorrow (Tuesday, 1/16). Residents normally scheduled for garbage pickup on January 16 will have their cart collected on Saturday, January 20.
All City of Springfield offices remain closed January 16.
Springfield officials are asking everyone to stay home unless travel is absolutely necessary. If you must be out, please use extreme caution while driving and be prepared for the frigid temperatures.
