The City of Springfield is pleased to announce the hiring of Benji Davis, as the new Gas Director. With a background in the utility industry and a track record of leadership, Davis is poised to bring a wealth of experience and innovation to Springfield’s gas operations.
Davis holds a degree from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina, which laid the foundation for his successful career. Originally from Kings Mountain, North Carolina, Davis embarked on his career in the utility sector in 1996. He made the transition into natural gas with Piedmont Natural Gas in Charlotte, NC, in 2001. His career journey led him to Nashville, Tennessee, where he managed the Piedmont Natural Gas construction office.
Benji and his wife, Stacey, reside in Hendersonville with their three children: Ben (25), Kendall (21), and Owen (13). Outside of his professional responsibilities, Davis is passionate about vintage records, antique shopping, and engaging in various home remodeling projects.
Davis shared his enthusiasm for his new role, stating “I am thrilled to join the City of Springfield. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and experience to deliver excellent service to our customers and support the growth of the natural gas industry.”
