To enhance motorist safety, the speed limit on 5th Avenue between Bill Jones Industrial Drive and Josephine Street has been reduced from 40 mph to 30 mph, following a recommendation from the city’s traffic committee.
Additionally, the speed limit on 5th Avenue between Bill Jones Industrial Drive and Highway 76 has been set at 40 mph to serve as a transition between the 30 mph zone and the 55 mph limit on Highway 49.
