New this year is Marigold River, featuring more than 2,500 red, orange, and yellow marigolds, creating a ribbon of color between the Bradford Robertson Color Garden and the Arboretum Lawn.
Popular favorites will also return, including Pumpkin Village, where guests can explore pumpkin houses and displays surrounded by thousands of chrysanthemums, and the Scarecrow Trail featuring creations from local artists, schools and community organizations inspired by this year’s “Once Upon a Harvest” theme.
On Thursday evenings, Harvest NIGHTS will keep the fall fun going after dark with illuminated gardens, live music, food trucks, seasonal cocktails, garden games and pumpkin-carving demonstrations. The Jack-o’-Lantern Topiary, constructed from approximately 200 faux carved pumpkins, will also return.
The season will also include weekend live music, Japanese Moon Viewing on Sept. 27, the Halloween Pooch Party Oct. 24-25 and El Día de los Muertos Oct. 31-Nov. 1.
