Automotive Parts Manufacturer Expands Robertson County Operations

Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe announced that automotive parts manufacturer Martinrea will expand its operations in Robertson County, investing $40 million and creating 97 new jobs.

Through the expansion, Martinrea will upgrade its large presses, add additional robots and welding cells and add 30,000 square feet to its existing facility at 1 Fabco Dr. in Springfield.

Martinrea is a diversified and global automotive supplier engaged in the design, development and manufacturing of highly engineered, value-added Lightweight Structures and Propulsion Systems. It currently operates in 57 locations in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, Slovakia, Spain, China, South Africa and Japan.

Over the last five years, TNECD has supported more than 10 economic development projects in Robertson County, accounting for nearly 2,100 job commitments and roughly $688 million in capital investment.
